Tijdens het Juhannus-Midzomerfeest in het Finse Huis is de muziek in handen van Pauliina May. Wie is ze?
De vocaliste Pauliina May werd in Finland geboren in een gezin waar beide ouders een zangcarrière hadden in de muziek. Muziek, kunst en vooral televisie-entertainment waren altijd aanwezig en brachten beide dochters van het gezin in de podiumkunsten. Pauliina’s vader Erkki Pohjanheimo, is een tv-regisseur en een producent. Pauliina’s zus Petriikka Pohjanheimo is afgestudeerd aan de Theateracademie van Finland en werkt als freelance actrice in Finland.
    Tijdens haar carrière heeft vocaliste Pauliina May stijlen behandeld van jazz, salsa, latin-pop, pop, Argentijnse tango tot Finse lyrische en dansmuziek. Ze startte haar studie muziek / stem / vocal teaching aan het Pop & Jazz Conservatorium in Helsinki, Finland (1991-1996) en ging door aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium in Nederland en studeerde op 11.12.2000 met een diploma 9/10 af aan de Latin-muziekafdeling.

The vocalist Pauliina May was born in Finland into a family where both parent had a singing career in music. Music, art and especially television entertainment were always around and led both daughters of the family into performing arts.  Pauliina’s father Erkki Pohjanheimo, is a TV director and a producer. Pauliina’s sister Petriikka Pohjanheimo has graduated from the Theatre Academy of Finland and is working as a freelance actress in Finland.
    During her career vocalist Pauliina May has covered styles from jazz, salsa, latin-pop, pop, Argentinean tango up to Finnish lyrical and dancing music. She started her music/voice/vocal teaching studies at the Pop&Jazz Conservatory in Helsinki, Finland (1991-1996) and continued at the Rotterdams Conservatorium in Holland and graduated from it’s Latin music department on 11.12.2000 with a degree 9/10.
